How Much Does Therapy Cost?

Standard Session fee is $200 for a 50 Minute Session.

Extended Session fee is $320 for an 80-Minute Session

For all new clients - especially couples - I recommend that your initial session be an Extended Session, after which we can decide together what session type will best suit your needs.

Payment is expected at the end of session. At this time, I only accept payment in the form of debit or credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express).

If you're not sure what type of session you want/need or if you're still wondering if therapy is right for your please give me a call. I offer a free 15-Minute Phone Consultation or Virtual Consultation to walk through and answer any questions or concerns you might have before starting therapy.

Insurance

At this time, I am In-Network with United Health Care/Optum Behavioral Health. For those wishing to see me through insurance as an Out-of-Network provider, I can provide a monthly superbill (receipt of services) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if needed.

That being said, because all insurance plans vary, you should contact your insurance company directly prior to seeing me, to determine your coverage benefits for out-of-network behavioral health providers. Your insurance carrier will be able to inform you about whether or not your sessions will be covered, what percentage will be covered, and their procedures for reimbursement.

If you have any questions or concerns about my fees please give me a call. The last thing I want is for you is to not receive help because of financial constraints. That being said, if my fees are too much please let me know and I will direct you - at no cost to you - to someone who either accepts insurance or works at a fee that best suits you.

CANCELLATION POLICY

When you schedule an appointment with me, that time slot is reserved especially for you and you will be responsible for paying the full rate of $200 ($320 for an extended session) unless you can provide me with a minimum 24 hours’ notice of the need to cancel. Please note that insurance does not cover cancellation fees.

NO SURPRISES ACT & GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE

Effective as of January 1st, 2022 - If you are a prospective client who is uninsured, has insurance but is out-of-network, or is within network but is choosing not to utilize your insurance benefits for counseling services the new No Surprises Act requires that I provide you with a “Good Faith Estimate." This document will detail the services I provide, the cost of those services and an estimated total amount you can expect to have paid at the conclusion of services. As stated this document is an estimate, meaning it has the capacity to change. That said, should an adjustment in services, fees or expected length of therapy occur/need to occur, you will informed prior to the change(s) and will be with provided a new Good Faith Estimate to reflect said change(s).
